Dawid Malan is a left-handed batsman as well as a leg-spinner bowler. He originally represented Boland in South Africa in 2005–06 and the MCC Young Cricketers in 2006. After joining on 7 July 2006, made his 1st XI debut on the same day in T20 Cup against Surrey at The Oval.
In 2008, David made his first-class debut for Middlesex, scoring an unbeaten 132. David hit the 24th century in T20 World Cup history on 8 July 2008, scoring a 54-ball 103 in the quarter-final against Lancashire Lightning.
This brilliant inning made David the first player to score a century batting at number six and hold the record for the highest score. David was appointed as the captain of Middlesex for all three formats at the start of the 2018 season. In the year 2017, Dawid Malan was selected to play for England in the T20 home series against South Africa. He scored 78 against South Africa in his very first match and England won the match. On 27 July 2017, David Malan made his Test debut as a number 5 batsman.
