The India-Australia Test match is being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat’s Motera
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese attended the first day of the India-Australia test from Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera. Modi and Albanese gave the controlling caps to their team captains Rohit Sharma and Steve Smith at the start of the match.
Prime Minister Modi and the Prime Minister of Albania arrived at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday morning and took a golf cart ride around the stadium ahead of the start of the fourth game between India and Australia. The two presidents also visited the “Hall of Fame” museum at Narendra Modi Stadium.
Albanian, who is visiting India until March 11, arrived at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport in Ahmedabad yesterday and was welcomed by Prime Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel. This will be the fourth meeting between Modi and the Albanians since Modi became Australian Prime Minister in May 2022.
Prime Minister Modi and the Australian team met India captain Rohit Sharma and Australia captain Steve Smith ahead of the game.
Albanese announced on Wednesday that Australia and India have completed the Australian-Indian qualification recognition mechanism. It has been announced in a major project that Deakin University in Australia will set up an international campus in GIFT City, Gandhinagar. He also announced the launch of Maitri, a new scholarship for Indian students to study in Australia for up to four years.
